Conceptual Drawing: In the studio, we develop drawings that suggest ways to configure the space for use and beauty, indicating any needed new paving or structures, such as decks, arbors, or pergolas, along with the general shapes, textures, colors, and sizes of plants that will enhance your site.

At a second meeting, we will present you with two or more alternatives for your garden. Usually, the design retainer covers expenses up to this point. At this meeting, we will determine which direction to pursue, and how you would like the drawing modified. We will also talk about specific plants you would like included in your garden.

Rinda West Designs will then redraft the plan to incorporate any modifications you desire; these will be reflected in the master plan. At this point, we will research the availability of the specific plants for your site, understanding the plants' needs for sun, moisture, shelter, and soil.

Master Plan: At the next meeting, you will receive a master plan, drawn to scale, which indicates new areas to be built, as well as plants to be installed, their dimensions and locations. You will also receive an estimate of costs for installing the garden.
